The French Banana War

23, Arts Education/Youth Development/Tolerance Education/ESL Specialist. Currently spending lots of time doing artsy things at an after-school enrichment program for K-5, leading tours at the Museum of Tolerance, grading high school AP Euro and English essays (and making witty comments from the back of the room), and applying to grad school. Recently of Munich/Germany, the Boston area, and Freiburg/Germany. LA area native.

I teach English, art, theater, German, study/writing skillz, following your passions/standing up for yourself/and others skillz, map/world/awareness appreciation, etc, study German (and now Russian! and sometimes French and Spanish! maybe more soon! LANGUAGES!), and love languages, literature, theater, criticism and criticizing, bikes, the beach, international affairs, bob haircuts, cultural history, crime stories/tv shows, etc, SPIES, museums, music, feminism, history, school, tea, puppies, newspapers, cuddling, exploring, and puppies.

This man is AMAZING.

I spend so much time in the damn car these days, but it means I spend LOTS of time with the fine people at KCRW, including Mr. Jason Bentley, who runs Morning Becomes Eclectic, which I only get to listen to when the traffic on the way to the Museum is REALLY bad.

This week, however, is parent-teacher conferences, so I’m at work 11-6 every day. I have done lots of freeway-swerving, struggling to write down names of artists in the notebook the has fallen in between the emergency break and the passenger seat.
